Great news! We received our first club accreditation today.

2 May 2010 Update: Active Surrey Sports Club Accreditation and Sport England Clubmark

As an update to all, we are making good progress with our move towards accreditation with Active Surrey and from there to Clubmark, a goal we want to achieve to demonstrate that we provide a good and safe environment for all for fencing, especially our younger members. We submiited our initial file to Surrey Council last week and are waiting to hear back.  That should take us to Bronze level, and pretty soon afterwards we hope to attain Silver.  Our aim is to achieve the top Gold level and Clubmark by the end of the year. We thank all our members for supporting this, and also for your patience whilst we introduce new processes and paperwork.

Runnymede Youth Festival July 2009

Continuing EFC's commitment to working with Runnymede in developing new young fencers we attended the Runnymede Youth Festival at Abbey Sports center in Addleston on Sunday 5th July. This under advertised even attracted a small number of people, many of which came in to our area and had a try.
